Biblical Dietary Laws

The temple of Yahuah is holy, which temple you are

If anyone defiles the temple of Yahuah, Yahuah will destroy Him

Yahuah created clean and unclean animals, fish and birds and marked them for identification. If anyone eats unclean food, it defiles their body. The Holy Spirit cannot live in a defiled body.

For this reason, believers today do not have the power of the Holy Spirit to guide them into obedience to the law, worship in the Spirit or faith for miracles. When Adam and Eve ate forbidden food, the Holy Spirit and it’s covering immediately left them.

Eating unclean food is an abomination like sexual immorality. Both defile the body.

The Jerusalem council commanded only four laws for new Gentile believers, to keep their bodies undefiled for the Holy Spirit. 1) do not eat meat that has been offered to idols; 2) do not eat meat from an animal that has been strangled with its blood; 3) do not eat blood; 4) do not commit sexual immorality. They could learn the other laws of Moses in the synagogue every sabbath.
Peter had a vision where Yahuah commanded him to eat unclean animals. Peter realized it was a metaphor, that Yahuah was doing an extraordinary new thing that had never been done before. Yahuah was going to anoint unclean Gentiles who repent of their sins with the Holy Spirit and bring them into the household of Israel and the kingdom of Heaven.
Yahusha was accused by the Pharisees of allowing His disciples to eat bread without the traditional ritual of washing their hands. This ritual is a man-made tradition which is not in the scriptures. Yahusha accused them of exalting their traditions above the laws of Yahuah. Yahusha did not say that all foods were clean as many believers claim.

Clean animals have split hoofs and chew the cud. Clean sea creatures are only fish with fins and scales. Clean birds are chickens, turkeys and ducks. Unclean food includes pigs, rabbits, squirrels, bears, dogs, horses, camels, catfish, shark, lobster, crabs, shrimp, clams, alligators, woodchucks, lizards, snakes and mice.

The Jews and Christians today exalt their traditions above the laws of Yahuah. Christians keep their man-made traditions such as Sunday, Christmas and other holidays instead the holidays established by Yahuah. They eat ham at Christmas. They also claim that believers do not have to obey the laws of Yahuah. Therefore, they will not be allowed to enter the kingdom of heaven because of their lawlessness.
